The Fraunhofer IPA Clean Manufacturing Portal provides access to a a variety of resources dealing with "cleanliness" in the manufacturing environment.

For over 25 years we have been working out solutions to problems in contamination-sensitive manufacturing. The main emphasis of this work is placed on developing, testing and optimizing complex cleanliness systems. We don't just take cleanroom technology into consideration but also quality factors such as manufacturing devices and processes, media supply and disposal and material and personnel logistics.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA is one of the world's internationally renowned competence centers of cleanroom manufacturing.

The Fraunhofer IPA Qualification

Products tested at the Fraunhofer IPA for cleanroom suitability are awarded with the IPA qualification seal. The test results are documented with the aid of the IPA qualification package.
For over 25 years, products have been tested for cleanroom suitability here in accordance with recognized test procedures and standards. To date, worldwide these test results support more than 250 customers from a wide range of industrial fields in developing products and assuring quality.

The IPA qualification seal certifies the existence of reliable measurement results from an independent test, thus forming a basis for transparent purchasing decisions in this sector of technology.
